The Passive Aggressive Voice

On Max Barry's blog- if you are not familiar with him or his work, you should run out and grab one of his books immediately. He's a hilarious author- I found in his description of his book, Company, a little blurb about how a writer in the magazine, The Economist, erroneously used the phrase, "Passive tense," instead of "Passive voice." As he mentions, it made some linguists so mad they wrote an essay about it. This sort of thing can almost exclusively be appreciated by a language nerd such as myself, and maybe amuse folks who are somewhat interested in English grammar and such, but I just had to put it out there. Enjoy.
